SEO and AI Search scope: what we can do in-house

Executive summary

Bottom line: This project is a package of SEO and Google AI-search work for one client: 24 tasks in 5 groups. We can do 16 of the 24 ourselves with free tools, mainly writing, analysis and reporting. The other 8 need one extra thing each, and none needs a paid tool to get started.

Next steps: (1) get the client website address and page list; (2) ask the client for Search Console and Tag Manager access; (3) run the free crawl tool and send the export; (4) choose how to monitor AI Overviews (by hand or trial tracker).

16 items we can do in-house, 8 partly, 0 not at all. "Partly" means one step needs client access, a person, or a paid tool. Double-check on 15 Oct 2026 changed 6 rows (marked CHANGED in the last column).
